This Thursday marks the 33rd day of the hunger strike by Camp Liberty residents, protesting the massacre and mass execution in Ashraf. They are demanding immediate release of the seven residents of Ashraf taken hostage and that security to be provided for Liberty residents by the United Nations.

Among the hunger strikers are mothers, fathers, children and other relatives of the September 1 massacre victims and hostages.

The hunger strikers are in critical physical conditions and are suffering from various problems and have lost 7 to 11 kilograms.

The Iranian resistance calls for the immediate intervention of the United States and the United Nations to free the 7 hostages and provide the security of the residents of Liberty who, after 5 massacres in Ashraf and Liberty, have no other option than to go on hunger strike.

At a Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe on September 30, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, said, “Watching in silence is tantamount to approving the crime and caving in to desire of a bloodletting religious fascism.”
