This day marks the 71st day of Camp Liberty residents’ hunger strike.
Today, Farideh Nemati, one of the hunger strikers, was carried to the Iraqi clinic with a 40 degree fever.
Another one of the hunger strikers, Habib-Allah Ghasemi, was taken to the Iraqi clinic while he was suffering from critical health conditions. He fainted while the Iraqi doctors were diagnosing him.
Also, yesterday, Jafar Nematollahi fainted from deteriorated health conditions, and was put under medical care.
While the hunger strike of Camp Liberty residents has entered its third month, the number of hunger strikers with very critical health conditions is rapidly increasing. The hunger strike was started in protest to the inaction of the United States and United Nations. The hunger strikers are demanding the immediate release of the seven Camp Ashraf hostages who are in the custody of Iraqi Prime Minister’s forces.
