It is now 47 days that the residents of camp Liberty are on hunger strike. Today, 22 of the hunger strikers were suffering from severe cases of nausea, digestive problems, muscular cramps, extreme exhaustion, dizziness, dimness of sight and hearing. 9 of them had to be taken to the Iraqi clinic and put under medical care.
To this day hundreds of the hunger strikers have been taken to the Iraqi doctors because of the side effects of the hunger strike.
On this day, the hunger striker reiterated their determination to continue their hunger strike until the seven camp Ashraf hostages, abducted by Iraqi forces on September 1st, are released and the protection of camp Liberty residents is provided by United Nations Blue Helmet forces. They call on the US and UN to break their silence and to take action to release the hostages before it becomes too late.
