It was 8 pm. She was in a hurry in one of Tehran’s streets trying to reach home when a little boy stopped her.
“Lady, lady, please buy a flower from me,” he pleaded.
Kindly, she took all the flowers and realized the small boy, selling flowers on the street to help his family make ends meet, was staring at her shoes.
“What beautiful shoes you have, mam!” the little boy said.
“My brother bought it for me. Would you like to be me in my place and have these shoes?” she asked.
“No, I would like to be in your brother’s place, so I could buy shoes for my sister, too…” the little boy said.
